What to do now?

I am stuck on what to do now lol. All my collections are gone, I have two secured CCs(USAA and Cap1) even though only the USAA is reporting now. My only negative account which I can resolve is my student loans and I am in rehab so I have to just wait that out and I guess keep sending GWs to Sallie Mae's for lates that are over 5 years old. So what now? Garden...Just keep increasing my credit limits...? I like seeing progress lol so now I am stuck HELP

Now comes to hardest part... being patient.

Gardening time.

Are your two secured cards recently opened?

Yeah I opened them in May so I don't want to open another account anytime soon, though my GF might let me piggyback on her CC that is from 2005

Re: What to do now?

Build your own history.

I know it's hard now to just "sit back", but it happens to everyone at some point.

And btw, gardening IS doing something. It's just not as fun when you are sitting here reading everyone else's approvals while you're just lingering day by day.

But it's like anything else, the first week or two are the hardest... it gets easier eventually. But at this point, you are better off doing nothing other than gardening.

My next statement cuts July 24th. So I'm hoping by end of month that it will start reporting.

+1

It will provide multiple revolving.  Its inclusion in scoring will help your types of credit.  While it might reduce your AAoA, multiple revolving is important to future rebuilding.

Re: What to do now?

Once Cap 1 starts reporting, check to make sure it is reporting on all 3 CRA's.  I got mine in August of last year and it has been reporting on TU and EX, but not EQ.  I didn't realize this until January or so.  I am currently fighting with Cap 1 and EQ regarding this.  Cap 1 says they are reporting it, EQ says they are not.  I have disputed with both to no avail.  I am waiting for a copy of my CR to come in the mail to send to Cap 1 to show that it is not reporting on EQ.

Starting Scores TU 7/30/09 FICO 493 EQ 9/5/10 FICO 477 EX 11/14/2011 (lender pull) 575
Current Scores TU 10/19/2018 FICO 671 EQ 12/21/2018 FICO 614 EX 5/31/2014 FICO 658
Goal Scores 700 across the board
