Sorry for cutting in, but how can you find out when was the DOFD of the original account.? Thanks in advance

Note: In the TU or EQ credit report that I get from this site does not have it.

For TU, you have to get the one they mail to you or the electronic version of the one they mail.  I think it costs $9 or $10 bucks if you haven't been denied credit or are not requesting your free annual copy.  TU only shows the estimated date that it will be deleted and not the DOFD.  For EQ, I have thier monitoring service and when I pull my report it is shown on their for any derogatory accounts.  For EXP it shows in the status and shows when it will be deleted.  The bottom line is that you need hard copies to see the information.

Re: When do baddies come of credit report

Any party reporting any information on an account that has charged-off or placed for collection is required, within 90-days of reporting, to also provide the DOFD on the OC account to the CRA.  FCRA 623(a)(5).  So it is required reporting, and must be in your credit file.

If you cant get it from your commercial credit report, FCRA 609(a)(1) entitles a consumer to any information in their credit file.

You can simply send the CRA a request under section 609(a)(1) and get the definitive DOFD of record in your file.

Section 609(a)(1) requests are subject to a fee payable to the CRA, which is currently $11.00, so be sure to include a check.
