Hi all,
I have a Public Record from 2006 that should be falling off this year since it was Satisfied and coming up on 7 years. For an old cell phone when roaming charges existed.
There are 2 dates on the Record
Date Filed - June 2006 - This is when I lost the judgement
Date Satisfied - Nov 2006 - This is when I paid
Which of these 2 dates is the 7 years calculated from?
Thanks in advance for your responses
7 years from the first date.

Thanks guiness! Thats good news.
Equifax says the second date. I am batling them now over a tax lien that was satisfied shortly after it was filed but the state did not file the release until two years later. Even though Equifax knows this to be true and a correction has been filed with the probate court, they refuse to delete. It has been on my CR for more than 9 years now and they say it will stay on another 2. If they worked off the first date, it would be long gone.
I would file a complaint with the CFPB if I were you.

It is different for a Tax Lien and EQ is correct. They are excluded 7 years from the date satisfied.
