Where to go from here?

I got approved for the cap1 secured card last month, only to JUST find out they're phasing it out and I can't increase the limit on it. What other cards are good for secured?  What cards can I increase the limit over time?

Just use the card like you planned. In a couple of months check the cap1 site and see if you're approved for an unsecured card and go from there.

I'm not a fan of adding more money to a secured card anyway.

I agree with ksb1,...you may qualify for an unsecured card from Cap One if you are responsibly using your secured card. They have great starter/rebuilder cards, IMO. I started with them & was able to improve my credit score fairly quickly. Good luck!
