Hi all! From my post last week, just wanted to let you all know I did go with the VS card after all as well as CO. Not much in the form of CL but that's okay. I just need them to start reporting to bring my scores up some more.
Here's the deal. We recieved our credit scores on Saturday from Identity Guard. My husband's scores are as follows:
Equifax- 607
Exp - 616
And TU - 626.
He's got a collection from CO and a collection from BOA (overdraft from checking account many years ago that he never took care of) I tried the shopping card trick and that doesn't give him any offers. I've tried different variations of our address since it's incorrect on 2 of the CB (they have an apt# listed from our old address)
We are still members of a CU in the city we used to live. I left a message for a loan officer we worked with plenty of times, to give her our scenario and have her review our payment history to prevent a HP on his pull.
Thoughts?
Thanks again. Y'all are awesome!
Oh! I wanted to add incase anyone want's to put their thoughts in. My DH & I are both students, are there any cards that would fit him? I've been googling and searching threads. I think there is a Discover student? Is that one pretty hard to get?
TIA!
There is a Discover Student card but I think your scores might need to be a little higher before you app for it. Check financeglobe. You can try their scorematch thing and also look for student cards there.
