Why are my scores still low

One 40 dollar CO from 2011 and the rest is clean, uti8% overall and yet my mortgage scores middlebstill 678 -- WTH fico

Do you have a good mix of accounts?  How many CC's do you have? Do you have an installment loan such as a car loan? Average age of accounts?

Is there a way to get that CO removed from your reports?  I'm in the same boat.  I still have one CO left and until it is gone, my scores are in a holding pattern also.  Despite everything, you've done a great job of rebuilding.  I know it is hard to be patient when you're almost there....but it'll happen.
