Why do the keep re-reporting the same collection?

Is that from SW?

If it is, have you checked through the CRAs?

Does your score drop each time it is reported?

I think it could be just them updating an already reported collections and not actually re-reporting.

If it is paid and closed, they should not be updating at all.  It could be as simple as them making sure the account is no longer in the media they use to update with the CRAs.

Yes it is SW.  I have not checked with the CRA's.  Didn't think of that. I don't know why they would be updating more than once in a month.

I just had the same thing happen to me yesterday and it dropped my score 42 points, smh.  The OC said they would tell the CA to delete the account so hopefully I'll get points back.

Should I call the CRA's and see what they show? Or call the CA and ask why they are reporting this?  I dread calling this CA.  They are nasty and I am sick of battling them.

I would first make sure it isn't being updated/reported on the actual CRA report, not just via myFICO SW.

If it is, contact them and ask them why they are updating a paid and closed account as they should not be.

Ok, I will give EQ a call (or which ever CRA the SW is)

Called EQ and she said she shows the "last" time it was reported as March 2014.  That info doesn't help me.  I pulled my report from the EQ site and it says date reported 03/2014, date assigned 09/2013.  Shows it as paid on 02/28/2013
