William W. Siegel Deleted From Credit Report, BUT...

So i got William W. Siegel deleted from my report for a 5 year old cell phone debt they were trying to collect on.  Removed from all three reports.  But i am still get letter from them stating that they "have the right to report this to my CRA's"  Should i send them a C&D letter to stop the letters or let them keep sending the letters making them think i just let them hit my credit and am now ignoring it?

Why and how were they removed?

i complained that it was past the SOL for cell phone debts (5 years old, no previous attempts on collection) and they could not verifiy the debt when the CRA's i reported to  came knocking.
