Working on my collections but......

I've ran into a problem with a collection that I have on my credit report. I have a $800 collection account from my ex-wife's checking account. I am trying to figure out how to proceed. Is this considered a written contract or open-ended debt. I live in Idaho if that helps. I can't find a straight answer anywhere I look. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It's likely written unless your state says otherwise. I'd argue written because you have to sign a written agreement upon opening it.

BTW, if you have the $$$$ set aside, then SOL doesn't matter. If they decide to sue, then you can always pay it to avert a judgment.
