Ok I have a baddie from Verizon NY for $159.00 due to remain on my report until 8/11 as DOLA was 9/04. It's my understanding that in NY paid collections are deleted 5 years from the DOLA (so had I pay this before it would've been deleted back in 2009) instead of the 7 or 7.5. Should I just send the payment to the Verizon and assume the negative will fall off automatically once payment is received? Or should I contact Verizon and remind them to delete??
I also heard Equifax has no problem adhering to the NY FCRA but Experian gives New Yorker's a hard time?
I hope I didn't confuse anyone with my ramblings.
Thanks!!
I'd pay it if all attempts at a PFD failed in the past. I'd wait for it to update to $0 and then I would contact the OC and/or dispute due to being too old.
Will do, thanks! Can't wait to see the results
