Writing a Goodwill Letter: What department should the letter be addressed to?

Hello friends,

I am new to myFICO and recently learned about the Goodwill Letter requests through this forum.

Thank you for your collective knowledge.

I am in the process of writing my first goodwill letter to a former creditor regarding a single '90-day late' removal from my credit file.

While I have the majority of the letter written, I was wondering what department the letter should be addressed to.

In a general circumstance, the letter should be addressed to which department?

I'd feel better knowing I have a chance if it's in the right hands.

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks,

- Lovingdad.

Welcome to the forums! This is an awesome place to get advice on all things credit.  Smiley Happy If you can find an executive e-mail address, go for it. You may have to use the address information listed on the CR.

Goodwilling takes lots of patience and finding the right person at exactly the right time...lol.  Best of luck and don't forget to let us know how it goes.
