Yippee....EX investigation results! Next step...Midland

2 accounts (1 OC and 1 CA) were deleted! The biggest one is the OC, First Consumer National Bank! This is the one that Midland is reporting that I owe (it is also reported twice on EX). So, now that EX couldn't verify with the OC and it was deleted...what is my next step in dealing with Midland?

A collection company for Comcast verified. I seriously do not remember this account. It was $30 and it was paid in 2003. What can I do to get this off my CR?

Thanks so much for everybody's help!

Have you sent out a DV to the CA? If they do validate, that could shed some light on the debt at least.
Here we go again...

Oh yes, I know! I keep reading all about them. So, I'm taking it that I should DV Midland now? I'm out of SOL. I just didn't know what to do since the OC was deleted since there was no verification.

THE OC COULD HAVE SOLD THE ACCOUNT TO THE CA...AND NO LONGER HAD THE RECORDS...I WOULD DV THEM...

THATS EVEN MORE REASON FOR THEM TO HURRY AND SELL IT...THEN SOMEONE ELSE CAN STILL TRY TO COLLECT ON IT...

Yeah, totally understand. What about the issue of it being reported twice on my CR?
