Hi all, I had an account with directv with an ending balance of $525 because I never returned their equipment, finally returned their equipment and now owe $282 that they sent to a collection agency Afni. They said they would settle for $225   if I paid the full $282 that I can get it deleted off my credit report? if so who do I pay the full amount to and who would I writte a goodwill letter to? thank you all

I had a collection with AFNI and they were very easy to deal with. I called, requested a PFD, they agreed and deleted it pretty quickly.
