I have 2 collections from first premier one card is $527 and the other card is $360. The representative I spoke to said he could give a discount for the one that is $527 to 225 dollars and the one that is $360 he could gice a discount for 152.00. I asked if I paid them off could I get a PFD and he said no that they could not do that. It would just say paid in full. They are both from 2010. Should I pay or not? I also have a medical bill for $109 a credit union insufficient fund for $143 and a medical bill for $74 and hsbc orchard charge off for $417 from 2008.
Will they PFD if you PIF?
Paying these off will help you if you get PFD's. It won't help your score otherwise, nor will it hurt.
BUT, it looks good on manual credit reviews if your bills are paid off, even though really really late.
I have 2 accounts with FP also, and I am considering paying them off because they are factoring into my utilization. I have quite a few other collections also, mostly medical, so not sure if my score would increase much if any at this time, but am considering it if it will help my utilization.
