cc sold debt now I want to PIF but don't know who to pay

Credit card company charged off my debt from a couple years back. Appears as "closed" with 0 balance on my report. Now, I'd like to PIF and get it deleted, but don't know who to pay. Can someone help me with the steps to take to determine who bought the debt? And if they don't appear on my report, how can they take it off if I pay them? Me confused.

Welcome to the forums!

If the CC is reporting as a paid CO with $0, then they no longer own the debt. The only thing you can do with the CC is to send a GW letter asking them to delete or remove certain aspects of the TL like the lates. Somewhere out there there's a CA that owns the debt. If they are not reporting, then hold tight and wait until they contact you.
