Hi all!
I requested my report from chex systems after being denied a checking account and found BofA which was an old checking account I had. Its not showing up on any of my credit reports. So my question is: if I dispute this would I basically be waking the sleeping giant? Or would it just be better for me to DV bank of america?
Do you owe them money?
If not, you should do a direct dispute. You don't send DVs to the OC.
Yes, I do owe the $$. So I should just pay BofA? Its an account from like 2006, I would think it would be sent to collections by now...
Do you not have a copy of your credit reports?
I'd call BoA and offer to pay them. If it's only on CHEX, I don't think I'd worry about deletion.
I think the reporting time period is different on Chex too. I think it is 5 yrs, so it would fall off anyway.

That's what I was told in a letter from ChexSystems.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 9/09 pulled by lender 802, EQ - 10/10-813, TU - 10/10-774
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem".
I called ChexSystems and they said that it is 5 years exactly to the day. And my mother had an account on Chexsystem, it was deleted just like they said....5 years to the exact date
