child support just appeared on credit report?

Hi everyone this is my first ever post even though i have been a lurker for years and i have learned alot for all of you guys! So my question is I pulled my credit report and a new account showed up for illinois child support. It says I owe 1,500 which i do since I fell behind after I had back surgery. The thing is that the account didnt affect my utilization and my credit score did not drop. Its not even showing as a collection. I got a score watch alert yesterday and my score was 626 and it stayed the same. Is this account going to hurt my score???

Morning - I live in Texas and my child support payments show on my EX report for the past 3yrs as of aug 2011 but I've been paying Child Support for the past 15yrs.

Child support is one of the things that is not looked at by FICO in scoring.  At least it is not supposed to be considered. 

There have been a few that swear it did impact them.

Most child support will only report if it is in arrears.

Also, if you in the market to make a big purchase it will not look good to the lenders.

That what I heard from my friends that are in arrears.
