I've been trying unsuccessfully to remove a collection from my credit report for over a year. Originally I tried contacting the phone number listed on my credit report, it was no longer in service. I did a search of that CA, couldn't find anything. I then sent a dispute letter and received a denial. I'm not sure what else to do. Any suggestions
