I have a question, not sure if this is the correct place to post. Can a collection agency sue you or sell your debt to another collection agency while in a active payment arrangement?
Not if you have a written agreement and you have not violated the agreement.
They cant sue if your repayment agreement includes such an agreement, but they can still sell the debt.
However, the new owner would inherit, and thus still be bound by, terms of existing contracts under the debt.
