Re: collection inquiry after DV... should I be nervous?

Pay it and start the GW process which includes mailing/emailing them a GW letter and/or getting the BBB involved.

Thats only IF they report anything, right? They have had the debt for 10 months with no reporting. Do I need to take these steps even if they dont report? or just IF they decide to later on?

I'd probably pay it.  I wouldn't really care too much about the Inq., I just wouldn't want them posting that to my CR.

What Shogun means is if you pay it before they post it on your CR, they can't post it after you paid it, legally.

I dont care about the inquiry, I put it in there just to try, but the main thing is keeping it off my report. Im just afraid they will post it to my credit AFTER I pay them. They havent posted it in 10 months, so Im going to pay it and call it a day with the debt. Then pray they dont report it! Thanks guys!

Actually, yes they can report it after you've paid.  They just most likely won't so they won't have to mess with it any more.  Good luck!  Keeping my finger's crossed for you!
