Yeah, I disputed a account because Wells Fargo keeps reporting I'm late on the account which I paid off 2 years ago now.( It's was 30 days when I paid it) They verify it and added a dofd. That just doesn't seem right .Should I 623 or just file a complaint? Not sure what back up I would have for a complaint.
It's not clear to me exactly what they're reporting ~ are they saying you're 30 days late, now ~ like in 2014? Or that you were 30 days late back in 2012 when it was paid?
It seems kind of petty. It should just be a TL with a 2 year old 30 day late. Looks like they took exception to the dispute. I'd GW them.

Yeah, it's still showing 30 days late two years later. The thing I really don't understand is why it has a DOFD?
If the account was 30 days late when paid two years ago then it should still show the 30 day late. Luckily a 30 day late from 2 years ago shouldn't be impacting your FICO score.
The DOFD is meaningless unless the account was charged off.

They left the Current status as 30 days. I think its hurting my fico score. I accept the 30 in the payment history but not the current status. Also I guess the DOFD just looks bad to me because it never when to collections. I didn't even know they could list one if it didn't.
Oh well in this case, if it was paid off 2 years ago it cant be currently 30 days past due, I would get someone on the line over at the Wells EO and demand that it be reported correctly. If they fail to report it as Paid was 30, then I would just file a CFPB complaint.

Yeah,I was going to send a 623 but IYO should I just make a CFPB. This has been verfied over and over. Is it worth even including the reporting of a DOFD? Thanks.
Make 1 more attempt directly with the EO of Wells by phone, forget the 623, if that call doesnt produce correct reporting then go directly to the CFPB, do not dispute anything with TU again. I would not bother mentioning the DOFD its irrelevant.
