Sending a DV, presuming it is timely, will invoke a cease collection bar until they provide verification.
With no time period requiring their response, things will remain in limbo until they reply.
Meanwhile, I would anticipate that they will verify, and thus plan my next step. Debt verifcation does not require that they prove the legitimacy of the debt, so it most likely will only provide you the name of the creditor, their statement that it is verified, and the amount of the current debt.
Do you challenge the accuracy of the debt, or of any credit reporting? Are you contemplating a dispute under the FCRA?
Is the debt still within SOL, which might affect their next action?
Are you ready to pay, and if so, is CR deletion a condition?
well they got it.. so the waiting begins
I am in the same boat... waiting. I am not patient so it is not fun. LOL Good luck!! :-)
