got all CAs and a number of COs removed from my CR in the past 2 months.
2 weeks ago i got a HP from WLMS FUDGE which i fretted over for a few days before moving on with my life. today i got a HP from RAB (apparently stands for Regional Adjustment Bureau).
i opted out -- do i have to do a security freeze, too?? i know these dirty CAs are looking at my CR now that it's almost cleaned up.
i want to avoid this fishing... is there a way to do so??

If they have an account that they are going to collect on you then the opt out I don't think will affect it.

No posting to the CRA yet? Just snooping your CR? They will do that sometimes, test the waters. They'll look and see if you're applying for credit, mortgage, etc. or if you are working on improving your credit. If they notice any of this they will pounce.

Freeze all your accounts. They cant hard pull a frozen report only soft.
Starting Score: 0
If the CA's have purchased a "valid" debt, they have permissible purpose to pull on your CR's. Freezing/opting out won't do anything for PP's.
