I recently pulled my credit report and discovered a few collections. i don't recall the letters telling me they are collecting on charged off accounts. Therefore, i never asked them to provide me documentation that they are authorized to collect this debt and a signed document showing my signature.
Can i request them to provide this information based on what i see on my credit report?
What would be a good example of the verbage i should use. I don't want to give them too much information.
Also, how does a date of last activity work with a collection agency. Clearly there is no activity other than the "date assigned". the the 4 statute of limitations apply here as I am in PA?
