$277...and I do have the funds. But it just seems too weird. We have accounts with Chase...but they are in good standings. Chase did investigate and they too said our accounts are in good standings. I will DV....and see what and where that takes me. 
if chase says there is no problem then you need to get that in writing from chase, and send it to the CA telling them there is nothing wrong, and that if they continue to collect you will report them to the FTC and the BBB and the AG. Unless they can provide proof for the debt. this might be why they are not reporting. some junk collectors will just randomly pull an account and see if you are willing to pay it. but they can't report. they will just harass you until you pay. i have a collector doing this currently for an old navy card they say i have. i have never had an old navy card.
