insurance says they will pay bill but still in collections

ok had ambulance bill that i didnt know about,i had 2 insurances at the time and they only billed one.checked my credit 6 months ago and had collections for 264.00,long story short called original creditor n my insrance,my insurance says they are gona pay,but its been over 2 months since i started with this,should i just wait this out or what,just called insurance a week ago and again they say they are gona pay

Once you have evidence that the medical debt was paid via insurance, you then have basis for removal of the collection.

Basis is the recent agreement between the CRAs and the office of the AGs of several states that included the agreement of the CRAs to remove any medical collections if they are paid via medical insurance.  The actual deletion would then be pursued only with the CRA, not the debt collector.

 

Until then, it remains a legit reporting.
