I need to get to work on at least getting those 30 day lates removed then.

The debt collector was required to have reported the DOFD on the OC account to the CRA within 90 days after reporting of their collection, so it is in your credit file.

Unfortunately, many commercial credit reports dont provide the reported DOFD.

Try annualcreditreport.com if you still have a freebie due from that CRA.  If the DOFD is not posted there, you can get it by way of info request from the CRA.

 

Knowing the DOFD will tell you when it must be excluded from your credit report (i.e., no later than 7 years plus 180 days from the reported DOFD).
