I have a medical bill that went to a CA, so I thought I would bypass the CA and contacted the OC today to find out about the account and if I could pay it off directly to the OC. I was informed that since the account is with the CA that I have to contact the CA in order to pay the account off. The account was not sold to the CA but transferred to them for collection. Does anyone in the forum know if this is true?
