Re: new public record listed on my CR

This is interesting and I am not sure if this will my case or not, but I decided to look at my previous CR to see if I missed any collections by Arlington.  There was not one listed, but there was a hard inquiry by Arlington in 2006, so they did know where I was located in order to send the summons.  Were they allowed to do a hard inquiry without my knowledge?

Re: new public record listed on my CR

whether they had purpose or not, I think it doesn't really matter here. what matters is that, between providing information about your move, and creditors and collectors checking your credit report, there was no admissible defense in using the old address. but i'm not a lawyer, and i would recommend checking a free consultation with a naca attorney to get at the bottom of this.
