where do i start?...i lost my job 5 yrs ago and had all bills under collection.....got into a job for a year now and ready to settle for the bills that's under collection.....how do i settle bills/acct.....i have some monies saved and wanted to start rebuilding credit.....please help!

Welcome to the forums!  You came to the right place for help.

Start by pulling all three of your free reports from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/order. 

Know what the DOFD and SOLs for all your accounts are.  If you have any questions, post the accounts, leaving out personal information.

Who is reporting, the OC or CAs?

Settling collections will not improve your scores.  And depending on how it is done they could after you for the rest.
