question regarding collection agency delete letter wording

Hi,

After a long battle with southwest credit systems, i got experian to conference in the collection agency and take confirmation over the phone that the item should be deleted.  Additionally the collection agency told me that they mailed deletion letters to the other agencies and a copy to my address.  I recieved the letter in the mail and the wording is as followed "please be advised that your account is now closed.  Southwest credit has ceased all collection efforts and returned the account back to the origional creditor."  Will the agencies view this as a delete and remove the record or will they simply mark as paid and closed based on the wording.  THe Collection company confirmed to me that the item will be deleted from my reports.

Thanks

Jonathan

Re: question regarding collection agency delete letter wording

It could go either way.  However, the credit reporting guide states if the account is sent back to the OC they must delete.
