is it possible to remove late payments from credit report ?

should I call the credit card compagny and ask for it ?

any thoughts / ideas ?

It is extremely difficult to get late payments removed unless there was an error on the bank's side. Still, there is no harm in asking.

It is not necessarily extremely hard, it just depends on your creditor and your past relation. I see some people getting couple lates removed from one creditor with a few minute phone call, and taking months with no success with some other creditors. Who is your creditor that is reporting the late payment and how many lates do you have, and how soon were they? If you give us more detailed info, we can try to help you better.

Yes you can get late payments removed from your credit reports.

 

In order to do so, you want to write goodwill letters.  Search for goodwill letters on this forum on in a search engine to get an idea of how to create one.  After you do so, you want to mail them out and wait for responses.  In order to get them into as many hands as possible, I've come up with the Saturation Technique which you can read about here:
