score increase FINALLY after 6 wks of hard work!

After six weeks of hard work I finally got my new report and i went from a 470 FICO to a 517 FICO =)  I also get experian FAKO through my USAA monitoring service that i get for free and I went from a 512 to a 586 =)  I'm sooo happy, i've PFD 4 small acounts, I DV'd then disputed and had 3 accounts removed, I added 3 revolving Credit Lines to my credit....now i just have to keep the momentum going...i have about 9 more accts to pay/settle that won't do a PFD, and I have two places that told me to mail them GW letters to remove 30 day lates...my dreams of apply for and getting a home next year are slowly but surely coming my way!

thanks to everyone for their insight here!  It has helped me alot in my journey and i saved $1800 to pay towards debt than to pay a credit repair agency for the same stuff i could do myself!!!!

THANKS!  We are going to do a lender pull in December to give us another gauge at our scores.  I've been paying off whatever i could to help boost our score, along with getting a secured CC to help show some good payment history after my pitifully bad history i had before!

In fact I just got approved for a $3150 Military Star credit card (it can be used at any AAFES military base stores) and was also told that I would know in 30 days if I was going to be given a CHASE bank line of credit along with my Star card...I couldn't BELIEVE it!  I'm so thankful to just be moving my score up and hope like hell we can get it high enough for my husband and I to get a VA mortgage late next year!  We only need a 620-640 to be approved and I feel like it's actually possible now!
