security freeze can stop inquiries ?

I place security freeze for my credit report, but still show up new inquiry from one of lender I just try. is this really work?

You applied for new credit with a freeze in place and they were allowed access to your CR?  Is that what you are saying?

+1 Guiness. No creditor is allowed to HP your credit report without authorization from you first.

You might want to check and see when the freeze was activated and when the INQ was placed. Once a freeze is in place, there is no way a hard INQ can go through unless you remove the freeze or provide the lender with a PIN.

yes.I went online and put security freeze on my credit report in the morning.  then I try apply for credit card in the afternoon.. 1h later I used USAA pulled my credit report. it showed 1 hp!!!!

What report did you freeze? USAA typically pulls EQ. If you didn't freeze all three, then its no surprise they would just pull another CRA. The other possibility is your freeze was not in effect quite yet before you applied. 

On the flip side, what are you trying to accomplish by freezing then applying for credit? It just seems odd.

It takes 5 days for a freeze to be active, it is not automatic.
