settled with CA...OC tradeline still on credit report

Hello!

I had a Best Buy credit card that went into collections in 2009. I settled the debt with the CA in 2012...before i knew about "pay for delete" and all that good stuff. So now, The CA is still lsited on my credit report with "settled for less than full amount" HOWEVER, the actual Best Buy account is also still on my credit report and is closed and says "120 days past due, account transferred to another office". Is there any way i can get that original Best Buy one removed since i settled on the debt?

The OC has done all they are required to do as far as reporting. I'd suggest sending them a goodwill letter. That's about all you can do except wait til it falls off due to time. Good luck

+1.   Good luck with any GW attempts.  I'd recommend trying GW removal to both the OC and the CA.
