should I close recent secured credit cards?

Capital One secured card $200 limit $200 down/ive had it for one year.

Credit one secured card $300 limit $75 anual fee ive had it for one month.

First premier bank $175 anual fee deducted from a $700 limit ive had it for one month.

I just got approved for capital one un secured card with zero interest and no annual fee.

Walmart nothing down $400 limit waiting for it in the mail.

I pay my entire balance in full each month. My question is should I close the 3 secured cards now or is it to soon? My goal is within a year or less get a card with 5k limit on it. How and what should I do to obtain this goal? My fico score is 645.

Welcome to the forum

IMHO keep the TL"s open for awhile but don't add anymore for the next 8 months

During that time you will be building history, increasing AAoA and scores.

Then decide who to keep and who to close.

Just remember close accounts in good standing remain on CR's for 10 years

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Ditto. Try to get as much time (a year plus, IMO) between your last app and your future app, assuming a higher limit CC is the goal. I started with a couple of secured cards and I kept them open for years, including when I apped for and was approved for prime CCs.

Okay so keep the secured one's for now, since I have already paid the annual fee? Everyone is telling me to close them. I am so confused.
