Just got a score alert today from myFico TU Quarterly Monitoring that my score jumped from 685 to 704! Although I will probably take a small hit when my new card posts, but that finally puts me in the 700 club on one of my reports! Now I can't wait for the two major derogs from almost 7 years ago fall off! ![]()
This isn't to gloat, but to motivate those of you rebuilding. A year ago Fico wouldn't even give me a score and I couldn't get any credit... a year makes a lot of difference.. Keep at it, and I couldn't have done it without this forum!

I love to see posts like these. They are definitely motivational for me since I'm just starting and get discouraged sometimes
It does get discouraging, like watching a pot of water and waiting for it to boil. But you have to look to the benefit of it taking time, as time goes on you learn to modify your behaviors slowly to use your credit more effectively, so when time comes that your score jumps, you see credit as a tool, and not a cash flow. And with all the hard work you put into it, you don't want to go back to where you were.
