For what exactly can sol be used for? i am in california and it is 4 yrs here.

A creditor cannot sue you for a debt..after 4 years...they can still sue...but that would be your defense...in court...SOL...

and by sueing you mean you are still liable for the debt. So after 4 yrs they cannot collect, but they can place on your credit report?

They can place on your reports...for 7-7.5 years from the DOFD...the can try and collect on it FOREVER...but can only sue you for it...after 4 years...
