state tax lien question

I have a state tax lien on my report that should come off in 8/2017. I asked the state of new mexico if I could get a withdrawal of lien since this lien has been paid in full for years now. The tax lien states the amount was 7000+ dollars.

I called the audit and compliance division of the taxation and revenue of new mexico, and spoke to a gentleman who said they don't do tax lien withdrawals, but he did send me a letter stating "you have no outstanding tax liability on taxes as reported, you have submitted all required reports.

Does anyone think that this letter might get my old paid tax lien off my credit report?

Tell me what you think.

Re: state tax lien question

In all honesty that isnt going to get the item removed from your CR it has to be withdrawn, expunged or dismissed for it to be removed.
