swc collection deletioni

I recently posted about swc deleting an at&t collection through pfd. Reading through this thread I have noticed that most people waited until they got a letter from the copmpany stating they would delete it if paid to pay them. The associate told me that she would send me a letter or fax saying it is deleted AFTER I pay them on Monday. Should I ask to receive something in writing first just to ensure that they will keep their word? Thank you

Most people will say yes, you should wait for them to give it to you in writing before you pay. I've done two PFD's over the phone, and both worked out just fine. I don't know. I'd rather have it paid more than anything.
