This is my last baddie. I had to move my priorities around because of the Capital One fiasco. And this is an account Capital One sold. Now I don't recall getting any letters or phone calls from them. They keep raising the amount due by $3 every 4 days or so. Who does that anyway? I sent them a DV letter in which I have not received the green card back. Does anyone know how long it takes them to respond? I did opt out on all the bureaus. The debt is past SOL from my understanding as its a credit card. The OC is to drop of November 2011. I feel like I'm playing chess with the invisable man. What's my next move?
If the OC is scheduled to drop in November then the CA will too. They have to have the same DOFD.

From my experience, take the non return of the green card as a good thing. November isn't too far out to wait...but it wouldn't hurt if your mail IS returned, to make a copy of the envelope showing the attempted delivery to NCO and send that to the CBs stating that you have tried contacting said company via the address listed on your report and are unable to contact them.
Have you disputed the item on your report already? If so, then ask the CB to explain HOW they verified a debt that you cannot verify yourself 
I know November is very close that's why I am so nervous about them updating the account every 6 days increasing the balance by $3 to $6 each week since June 30. I didn't dispute because they are a bad company to get caught up in with cbr disputes because they are known for not going by the book. It takes more than an act of Congress to actually get EQ to do some work. I have no luck with EQ disputes. They verified an account in a dispute when I couldn't verify it because the # on the report was disconnected; the company is no longer in business. So I'm sending out a MOV letter tomorrow. I have had enough of these companies putting erroneous data in my file. I have had 3 medical collections deleted this month because non of them were even valid. Thanks for the input. I will be watching this like a hawk.
Yes I did. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with someone named Michael Jackson & his supervisor who kept reading me scripted responses I gave up. I will see how far the MOV letter will get me & maybe a complaint to the FTC.
And before someone goes off about the name - this was not the rep's real name.
