Would lowering the total number of collection accounts raise fico score

I was told having these accounts deleted/pay to delete would be even better. After I paid off my collections nothing moved on my credit report. I just now asked two of my paid collections to get deleted by the collection agency so I guess its a waiting game but I know they are severly hurting my score.

A collection account is a major derog so ... yes, fewer collections accounts will raise FICO.

I'm getting my only two paid collection accounts taken off. I didnt even think of doing it until I came to these forums. Not sure how its going to affect my score until it happens. Guess I'll make a thread when it does.

I am working 3 PFDs 2 for medical 1 for a bad check and a good will for a bad check
