Re: unpaid medical collection from 2006

The OC is not the one reporting the debt the collection agency is the one that is reporting. PFD letters are better suited for collection agencies. Ask the OC if thye own the debt or if thye have sold it to the collection agency. If they own the debt ask if you wre to pya the account in ful will thye recall the debt from the collection agency. See what the response is.

Isn't this collection going to come off your report next year?

Re: unpaid medical collection from 2006

Use the HIPAA Process* (Google it).

It will only work if you mail full payment to the OC (Hospital, Dentist, etc...)  with the correct letter and inserts.

I was so confused on having my medical collection removed I sent a PFD to the CA. Then the CA sent notice to the OC, in which the OC contacted me. So I told the OC I can only communicate by mail.

Two weeks after I mailed my full payment to the OC, my medical collection was gone and my Equifax FICO went from 657 to 732**.

**(It'd be higher if I didn't have high revolving credit card debt of 78% from my last report, which is down to 68% as of today. Your score will probably be higher if you dont have a high CC debt like mine)

Re: unpaid medical collection from 2006

Aren't you NOT supposed to pay this. From what I've read, CA are attempting to collect on a "written off" debt.

I would research before doing anything OP.
