Thankfully, CAs (and PRs too) are never ever factored into your length of history or your AAoA. BTW, the dollar amount on CAs or PRs does not factor into FICO either. If there are two CAs out there, one for $0 and another for $10,000, your score will take an equal beating if either posts. Dollar amount doesn't matter.
The only thing to consider with regards to baddies and history are old OC accounts, like old charge-offs.

Everthing that is a trade line established by you and reported to a CRA by the creditor is an account that is included in AAoA.
You dont have an "account" with a debt collector. Debt collectors are never creditors. Collections reported to a CRA are only "accounts" established for credit reporting purposes, and are strictly between the debt collector and the CRA.
