updating balance

I paid off a C/O account a few weeks ago and I'm firmly in the garden. I also know that I should be patient but I'm not. Would it be impertinent of my to dispute the account balance in order to get them to report the proper balance in the bureaus? Thank you.

give it a month or so to update...they don't update things in real time always......give it a chance.  Usually those are updated within 30-45 days.  A dispute can take that long anyway.
