I'd say it depends on what else is on your report, but based solely on your score and what mine was at approval, you have a decent shot at it.

I got a pre-qualified mailer from Wal-Mart and I'm at a 635. I was approved for $600.
My TU had 3 public records, 1 unpaid c/o from 2006 and 2 collection accounts at the time they did the soft pull. When I applied though, I had 3 PR's, the unpaid c/o and 1 unpaid collection.
I think as long as the negs are old, you'll be okay.

Actually I have a Paid Charged Off and I haven't been late since on a payment since June of last year...

GE is a great company and a walmart card will grow rather quickly but they can be starnge at times with approvals.
