I am trying to get my score up to get a mortgage.
i pulled a report that shows all bureaus together.
this is for my vs card
experian is showing 30 days lateon feb 2010
exquifax is showing 30 days late on march 2010
before i send a gw letter should i dispute?
please let me know..
Unsure as to how the fee itself is being reported as a derogatory item.
Is it the basis for also reporting a 30-late, which requires that the "lateness" has extended more than 30 days past the billing due date?
Or is it just showing as part of your new balance on the account?
If the issue is relates to disputes over billing, including fees, the best approach is to file a dispute under the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), which entitles the consumer to documentation of their end of the dispute. Disputing any reporting under the FCRA that results from a billing issue only requires that they affirm the accuracy, and does not require any documentation on their part.
oops i didnt mean late fee lol i meant showing 30 days late. i edited post. thanks
really no one has any advice?
I would write a GW, check here for a list of execs you could email it-http://consumerist.com/2010/03/30/executive-emails-for-victorias-secret/
You can dispute the accuracy of their reporting if it's incorrect, but you want to be careful when disputing and not getting flagged for frivolous disputes..
I would GW the crap out of them and keep sending to every person within that company that you can get addresses for.
Good Luck!
