Ok so i disputed this account because it wasnt reporting correctly, it showed a balance which was killing my debt ratio.  Now it was updated to paid/closed with a 0 balance.  My question is, when should this drop off?

Re: whats my next move?

It's a paid and closed installment loan that does not show any reported derogs.

Thus, I see nothing requiring a next move.

It has no "drop off" date under the FCRA.

The CRAs have an internal administrative policy of deletion of closed accounts at approx. 10 years after date of closing, but that is not statutory, and can occur as early as approx 7 years, and could extend indefinately.

Re: whats my next move?

You can try sending a good will letter to have them remove it from your report if you feel it has a negative impact.

And by your username, I'm hoping there's no NJ.

There is no negative impact to the way it is currently reporting and to ask that it be removed would hit the OP by lowering the AAoA of his/her accounts, this is a good paid off account that has 7 years plus of age on it and will remain on file for up to 3 more years.
