I sent a Pre-HIPAA letter to EQ about a paid medical collection. The medical collection was removed from the credit report, but I received a letter from EQ stating that I needed to confirm my identity before sending me the results of the investigation. Should I just ignore this letter since I get an alert about a change to my CR?
I sent a Pre-HIPAA letter for my husband about an unpaid medical collection and as a DV he received the same thing that was on his CR...in addition to the contact person @ the CA..it also states that EQ has verified that this item belongs to you. However, it does not give the DOS or type of service. In this case where do I go from here? Would it be the Form letter to OC?
