I'm encouraging my GF of a few years to start rebuilding her credit. She's had some knocks in the past and I want to help her out if I can. She's watching me rebuild mine and it's going great.
I'm considering adding her as an AU to my AMEX account but not actually giving her a card. She wouldn't actually use the account (her idea.) Just enjoy the tradeline on her report to help rebuilt.
What do I need to know?
Shat does she need to know?
Thanks in advance.

She can order a replacement card at any time.
She's responsible for her charges if you default.
Being ACM does not build history with Amex. It's not the same as having an account.

But it will show on her report right?
Is she responsable for my charges if I default?

It should report.
I don't believe they'd hold her responsible for your charges.
USAA and Amex are the only two I'm certain hold AU/ACM responsible for their own charges. USAA is worse and provides the primary no protection.
